Mary has been painting locally for over thirty years. She had always wanted to learn to paint, but it became a reality when she started taking lessons with Bill Grasgruber, a well-known local artist.  It was when she took lessons with the late Michael Tanzer, that she decided oils would be her favorite medium, although she continues to work in watercolor and acrylic.

Mary has earned various awards over the years. She most recently was awarded first prize in the Oils category at the Annual FASST Members Juried Show. She has shown frequently at What's Your Beef restaurant and is currently the Artist-in-Residence at Riverfront Antiques.
